About Detox Home

Detox Home is an independent guide for creating a healthier home.  We do the time-consuming product research so you can shop for healthy products with confidence - without spending hours decoding ingredients, materials, and marketing claims.

Our standard is simple and strict: we list only products whose disclosed ingredients and materials pass our health-focused screening.  We reject products containing substances linked to credible health concerns, as well as products that fail to disclose what comes into contact with food, water, skin, or air.  We look beyond marketing claims such as “BPA-free,” “non-toxic,” and “premium materials” and require specific, product-level ingredient and material disclosures for every product we list.  Our how we vet page explains our complete product-screening standard, including the evidence we require and the reasons we reject or remove products.

How the site is funded

Through Amazon affiliate commissions: if you buy something through our links, Amazon pays us a small percentage at no cost to you.  Two things keep that honest.  Brands cannot pay to be listed — there is no paid placement anywhere on the site.  And commissions never influence what stays listed: a product that fails our rules comes off the site no matter how well it converts.  Details in our affiliate disclosure.
