Air fryers

Air fryers, trays and baskets that cook without PFAS nonstick coatings.

The basket and tray matter more than a stainless steel exterior.  We favor bare steel and glass, with PFAS-free ceramic coatings considered separately.  Plastic must stay out of contact with food.  Replacement baskets are listed with their compatibility so you can improve an appliance you already own.

Ninja French Door Premier Air Fryer Oven — FO101 Ninja French Door Premier Air Fryer Oven — FO101 STAINLESS STEELGLASSENAMEL Why we recommend it: A stainless-steel air-fry basket, wire rack and broil rack keep food off fluoropolymer-coated cooking grids.  The baking pan is enamel-coated aluminum, and Ninja states that all cooking surfaces are PFAS-free.  Independent testing found strong baking performance, though toast browned unevenly.  Allow generous counter clearance: the exterior gets hot, and the mesh basket needs thorough cleaning. Materials: stainless steel · enamel-coated aluminum pan · aluminum crumb tray · glass doors $199.99★ 4.6 · 700+ ratings View on Amazon
Pyrex Round Glass Air-Fryer Dish — 20 cm Pyrex Round Glass Air-Fryer Dish — 20 cm BOROSILICATE GLASS Why we recommend it: Food cooks against borosilicate glass instead of a nonstick coating, making this small dish useful for bakes and saucy meals in a compatible air fryer.  The 20 cm measurement includes the handles; the opening is about 17 cm across.  Check basket clearance and your appliance’s instructions before buying.  No lid is included, and hot glass needs protection from sudden temperature changes. Materials: borosilicate glass $35.09★ 4.6 · 200+ ratings View on Amazon
