We favor long-lasting fixtures over plastic-heavy designs, avoiding PVC and vinyl shades.  Shade materials and finishes are described alongside practical features such as dimming and bulb compatibility.  The bulb still determines much of the light quality; a natural shade alone does not make a lamp healthier.
