Cotton, hemp and linen shower curtains as alternatives to PVC, PEVA and vinyl curtains.

We favor natural-fiber fabrics without added PFAS water-repellent treatments.  Some tightly woven curtains work without a liner; other decorative curtains need one.  That requirement is stated for each product.  Allowing fabric to dry fully between showers matters more than assuming every natural curtain is waterproof.

Common questions

How does PEVA differ from PVC?

PEVA is not PVC and avoids the chlorine chemistry associated with vinyl, but it remains a plastic film.  We prioritize washable cotton, hemp, and linen when a fabric curtain can meet the shopper's setup and water-control needs.

Does every fabric curtain work without a liner?

No. It depends on the weave, tub or shower design, ventilation, and care instructions.  We identify the curtain and any liner or coating separately so a hidden plastic layer is not mistaken for natural fabric.
